What we do in the Waste and Recycling Industry
UniWin offers a comprehensive range of solutions to support businesses in the waste and recycling industry. Here’s how we help:
Hopper & Belt
Weighing Solutions
UniWin® offers specialized software solutions for hopper and belt weighing, tailored for the waste and recycling industry. These methods are ideal for managing bulk materials such as scrap metal, recycled aggregates, and waste products during processing, storage, and transportation.
Designed to seamlessly integrate into waste management workflows, UniWin® ensures precise weight tracking, efficient operations, and compliance with environmental regulations, providing a reliable system for managing recyclable materials.
Weighing Methods for Hopper & Belt
Hopper Weighing
Hopper weighing is designed for measuring bulk waste and recyclables such as scrap metal and aggregates. This method totals the quantity loaded or unloaded in real-time, making it ideal for recycling facilities and processing plants. UniWin® integrates seamlessly with hopper scales, ensuring accurate data capture and monitoring.
Belt Weighing
Belt weighing is perfect for continuous measurement of materials on conveyor systems, such as shredded waste or recycled materials. UniWin® ensures precise flow rate calculations and totalized weight data, enabling smooth operations in high-capacity waste management environments.
Truck Weighing
Solutions
UniWin® provides a robust software solution for truck weighing in the waste and recycling industry, designed to optimize operations and ensure accurate weight tracking for recyclable materials, waste products, and bulk solids.
Tailored for seamless integration into waste management workflows, UniWin® supports various weighing methods, device connectivity, and advanced features to enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
Weighing Methods for Trucks
Static Weighing
Static weighing is essential for stationary loads such as waste-filled trucks or bulk recyclables. Using platform scales, UniWin® records gross and tare weights to calculate net product weight accurately. This method ensures precise tracking of waste and recyclable materials, meeting industry standards and compliance requirements.
Dynamic Weighing
Dynamic weighing measures trucks and other vehicles in motion, such as with axle weighing systems. While vehicles move slowly over the scale, UniWin® calculates individual axle weights and combines them to determine the total weight. This method is particularly useful for high-throughput operations in recycling and waste management facilities.
LMA
Reporting (NL)
In the Netherlands, companies involved in waste management, including recipients and processors, are legally required to report the totals of each waste flow on a monthly basis through the Landelijk Meldpunt Afvalstoffen (LMA).
This report ensures compliance with environmental regulations and provides transparency in waste management practices. With UniWin®, this reporting process is simplified and automated. The system allows for easy data input, generating accurate LMA reports directly from waste flow data.
This reduces manual efforts, minimizes errors, and ensures timely, compliant submissions, streamlining waste reporting for our customers while adhering to legal requirements.
EBA
Reporting (NL)
EBA, or Electronic Document Waste, is a digital solution developed in collaboration with a group of vendors, software developers, and waste processors. It provides a standardized interface to facilitate efficient communication between transporters, recipients, and processors of waste, streamlining the management of waste flows.
The primary objective of EBA is to eliminate the need for extensive document printing in the waste industry, reducing manual paperwork and enhancing overall efficiency. By integrating EBA with UniWin®, the process of reporting monthly waste flow totals is automated and simplified.
This integration not only reduces the manual effort involved in the weighing process but also ensures accurate and timely reporting, helping companies stay compliant with industry regulations while optimizing their operations.
KLPD
Documentation (NL)
In the Netherlands, it is mandatory for each transportation of waste to be accompanied by proper documentation to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Dutch government certifies software providers in the waste and recycling industry that can digitally generate these required documents.
UniWin® is certified to produce these essential documents digitally, in line with the regulations set by the authorities. This certification ensures that all waste transportation managed through UniWin® is fully compliant with KLPD standards, helping businesses streamline their operations while adhering to legal requirements.
