Device Connectivity with UniWin®

UniWin serves as the central hub of a scalable weighing solution, ensuring seamless and robust device connectivity to all equipment a customer requires within their weighing systems. Our focus is on making these connections both easy and reliable.

Below, you’ll find an overview of our key strengths and the various ways UniWin integrates with and optimizes the usage of connected devices.

Device Connectivity with UniWin®

UniWin serves as the central hub of a scalable weighing solution, ensuring seamless and robust device connectivity to all equipment a customer requires within their weighing systems. Our focus is on making these connections both easy and reliable. Below, you'll find an overview of our key strengths and the various ways UniWin integrates with and optimizes the usage of connected devices.

Effortless Integration

The configuration-toolbox of UniWin® allows for easy connection to a variety of devices, such as scales, traffic-lights, barriers, gates, camera's and many more.

Device Connections

For each end-user, you get only the device connections you need. Even if a specific connection isn’t in our extensive library, we can easily integrate new devices.

Centralized Control

Due to UniWin® full client/server setup, we manage to control all devices from ONE UniWin instance, which makes it easy to support the UniWin system.

Future Adaptability

Understanding the importance of device connectivity, we use the latest techniques to connect industrial hardware while ensuring robust stability.

I/O Devices

Many devices around a weighbridge are commonly referred to as IO-devices. These include traffic lights, barriers, and position-detection sensors, as well as PLCs used to load or unload products from or into trucks, barges, and railcars. These devices can be connected to UniWin® using digital IO-modules, serial connections, OPC connections, and/or data interfaces.

To date, the most commonly used are digital IO-modules. When we have the opportunity to integrate UniWin® into an existing infrastructure, our first priority is always to work with the existing hardware.

Weighbridges & Scales

UniWin® integrates various weighbridges and scales for accurate weight measurement across vehicles and materials. These systems automate data capture, improve efficiency, and streamline operations, ensuring precise weight data for better inventory and logistics management.

Truck Weighbridges (Static)

Truck weighbridges are designed for the precise weighing of stationary vehicles. Integrated with UniWin®, they ensure accurate weight data collection, which can be directly linked to operational workflows and reporting systems.

Truck Weighbridges

Axle Weighbridges (Dynamic for Trucks)

Axle weighbridges measure the weight of trucks dynamically as they move across the platform. With UniWin®, weight data is captured and processed in real-time, enabling fast and efficient vehicle throughput.

Axle Weighbridges

Railcar Weighbridges (Static)

Static railcar weighbridges are ideal for weighing stationary railcars. When connected to UniWin®, they facilitate accurate data logging, efficient processing, and seamless integration into logistics systems.

Railcar Weighbridges

Multi-Platform Railcar Weighbridges (Static)

Multi-platform weighbridges allow for the weighing of railcars of varying lengths without the need for disconnection. UniWin® ensures precise measurement and automated data synchronization, optimizing railcar logistics.

Multi-Platform Weighbridges

Axle Weighbridges (Dynamic for Railcars)

Dynamic axle weighbridges weigh railcars as they move across the platform. With UniWin®, this process becomes fully automated, enabling real-time weight recording and operational efficiency.

Hopper Scales

Hopper scales measure bulk materials as they are loaded or unloaded. UniWin® integration supports precise data tracking, inventory management, and efficient material flow control.

Hopper Scales

Bunker Weighers

Bunker weighers are designed to measure the contents of storage bunkers. UniWin® provides automated data capture and reporting, ensuring accurate inventory management and process optimization.

Bunker Weighers

Flow Weighers

Flow weighers are used to measure continuous material flow. With UniWin®, flow rate data is seamlessly integrated into production or logistics processes, enhancing operational control and accuracy.

Flow Weighers

Belt / Conveyor Weighers

Belt weighers measure the weight of materials being transported on conveyor belts. UniWin® integration allows for real-time monitoring, optimizing material handling and ensuring accurate data logging.
