The configuration-toolbox of UniWin® allows for easy connection to a variety of devices, such as scales, traffic-lights, barriers, gates, camera's and many more.
Device Connections
For each end-user, you get only the device connections you need. Even if a specific connection isn’t in our extensive library, we can easily integrate new devices.
Centralized Control
Due to UniWin® full client/server setup, we manage to control all devices from ONE UniWin instance, which makes it easy to support the UniWin system.
Future Adaptability
Understanding the importance of device connectivity, we use the latest techniques to connect industrial hardware while ensuring robust stability.
I/O Devices
Many devices around a weighbridge are commonly referred to as IO-devices. These include traffic lights, barriers, and position-detection sensors, as well as PLCs used to load or unload products from or into trucks, barges, and railcars. These devices can be connected to UniWin® using digital IO-modules, serial connections, OPC connections, and/or data interfaces. To date, the most commonly used are digital IO-modules. When we have the opportunity to integrate UniWin® into an existing infrastructure, our first priority is always to work with the existing hardware.

ANPR Cameras (License Plate Recognition)
ANPR cameras automate vehicle identification by reading license plates, speeding up access and reducing errors. Connected with UniWin®, they ensure seamless logging of vehicle data and enhance security by restricting unauthorized access.
Security & Anti Fraud
Information Protection
The weighing software must employ a robust password system to secure access. UniWin® supports multiple user levels with customizable functionalities per level, all managed by the SUPER-user for enhanced security.
Manual Weighing
Manual weighing functionality in UniWin® is protected by security protocols. Each manual entry is logged with the operator’s username and marked as MANUAL on the weight ticket, compliant with Weights and Measures Legislation. Additionally, a detailed report of all manual weighings can be generated.
Motion Detection
Weighbridge systems must incorporate motion detection, ensuring weighments occur only when the weighbridge is stable. UniWin® aligns with this requirement through its built-in motion detection system, which prevents printouts until a stable weight is confirmed.
Empty Weight Verification
The weighbridge must detect a “zero weight” (threshold configurable, e.g., 200 kg) between weighments to prevent double weighing of the same vehicle. This feature can be disabled in cases where trucks are loaded/unloaded on the weighbridge for operational flexibility.
Empty Weighbridge Restriction
Weighbridge software must block weighments when the platform weight is below the minimum threshold. UniWin® enforces this restriction, ensuring no printouts are produced under such conditions.
Automatic Zeroing
The system must automatically reset to zero when the weighbridge is empty. UniWin® facilitates this by sending a zero command to the weighbridge indicator after weights drop below the threshold, provided the indicator supports external zeroing.
Weighbridge Movement Detection
All movements on the weighbridge exceeding a configurable weight threshold are logged by UniWin®. This log includes date, time, weighbridge ID, and peak weight, stored securely for access by authorized users only.
Vehicle Positioning
Ensuring correct vehicle positioning on the weighbridge is critical. UniWin® supports hardware integrations, such as beams or photocells, to verify tire alignment. If the vehicle is improperly positioned, the system prevents weighing.
Camera Integration
UniWin® enables integration with IP-based cameras for capturing snapshots during 1st and/or 2nd weighments. These images, named using the unique serial number of each transaction, are stored in the database directory and accessible via the UniWin® interface.
Loading & Unloading
